I went to the pharmacy last night to pick up a couple bottles of vitamins. I went to the pharmacy at the mall because it was convenient, though I dislike that pharmacy because it has too much perfume stink.Sometimes it is really bad when they have a basket of scented soap on the checkout counter.
Yesterday I thought I was lucky because I picked out my vitamins and went right to the checkout counter and there was no line and no scented soap too close. I put my merchandise on the counter and had my credit card out and ready to buy.
The checkout clerk didn't want to take my money, she was apparently too lazy to scan the two items and instead called someone else over who could scan them and then I could come back with a number to check out.
That whole process was going to at least triple my time in the pharmacy and change the purchase from a quick one to one that exposed me to far too much perfume so I followed the lady that had my merchandise except I kept right on going out the door.
Today I'll pick up my vitamins at a different pharmacy, one that wants my money and business. I won't be subjected to convoluted purchasing practices or noxious perfume.
