Online store selling a fantastic range of 100% organic cotton baby & toddler clothes

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I read a horrific article on the production methods of normal cotton & the damage it does to the environment, the farm workers & the manufacturers & since I had just had a baby I wanted to help make the world a better place by helping to promote healthy happy clothing.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first webite was www.fluidconcept.co.uk which includes a surf shop, surf school & surfboard shapers

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Many hours of intensive thought & asking everyone I knew what they thought!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We're a dedicated clothes shop & sell everything from scratch mitts to combat trousers!

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep expanding our range & next year launch our own designs

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Fluid Concept is now a very successful site so I'm hoping this one will follow its success.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would bring out our own designs to make our the items for sale on our site unique

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes! We'd always work very hard to keep up with consumer demand

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Knowing where to spend our very limited marketing budget

What has been your biggest challenge?

Raising the funds to start the business

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

submission to website directories

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Its been slower to take off than the surf site

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Its been running since April 07 & we intend to keep financing it for the next 2 years, by then we'll know whether its worth continuing & whether or not we have the potential for further growth.
