Please give us a short summary of your website?
My site is dedicated to individuals that are looking for great sales and discounts without searching the entire internet for their particular product, and information from real consumers about that product. Zig Ziglar, and world-renowned motivational speaker from Texas once said,"A person without proper information will make an informed decision and will have buyers remorse, but fulfill his thirst for information and you will have a customer for life." This is the true summation of my website....."information"
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have looked all over the web, and found that many sites are just trying to sell you a product and not inform you about it. If you type any word in a search engine, you will pull up millions of websites that has a landing page, but no information. I bought my dad a computer, which he uses reluctantly, and he said, "Kia, in my day a person explained to me why I should buy his product, and nowadays no one has consideration for people who generally want information before they buy something." My dad said something that blew my mind, and that was, "would you by an insurance policy without the insurance agent explaining the policy to you, the amount of the premium, or face amount? The only thing the agent would say is sign here and walk out the door....would you have doubts about the policy?" With many sites today, they just say buy with no description of what is being sold, and as a female I will change that stigma with my website.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first site that I ever built was http://www.this-is-my-obsession.com, in 2007. It is an informational site that gives a person that wants to start a home based business information about their passion. I believe that your passion will produce profits, but many people don't know where to start to get that information. This website is that bridge that will help you get to home based business destination.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The way I decided on my website was an, "oh my gosh," moment. I asked myself, if I were to start an internet business what would be something that everyone wants. As a woman, I know that we all buy from sales and discounts racks. Everyone waits for after Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years sale. So, I just looked around and saw that people were always on the hunt for sales or discounts, and that's where the name came from. I am not cheap, but I just love red tags:^)
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I believe information about products sets my site apart. Information rules the nation, and once anyone reviews my site they will see information first, purchase second. I believe if I give you a source for information, you will see my site not just for purchasing something at a low price, but good information that you can talk about with your girlfriends.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal for my website is for everyone in the world to use it as a source of information. I believe that at some point in our lives, that we have been burned by purchasing a product off of impulse, and my goal is to turn that around with information.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I believe the time you put into your success is exactly what you are going to get out of it. I love shopping, so this is really not work, it more of a responsibility to let everyone know how to save a money in this up and down economy
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would do a lot of advertising to people let people know that they can buy a lot of same products cheaper. But for now, I simply ask that if you like my article pass it to a friend that you might think would enjoy the savings.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
My biggest headache was thinking will this site work. Will people read the information, or due to our fast paced society click off my site because it took a little bit of time to get to the products they wanted.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Making sure that everything is right when I launch it. I am a perfectionist, so I had to pull myself away from constantly tweaking my site.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I believe by having the statement, "If you enjoy this article, please be sure to forward to a friend." Having good content will ensure that people will read the articles.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I have realized that this is a business like any other. It takes work to produce a successful company, and running a website is no different.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have ran my site for about a month now, and I will keep it up as long as I know that their are some people out there that share my enthusiasm for knowledge. There are people that will not read my articles, but there are some that invite good information, and they are my target market.
Do you believe people will pass your website around?
I believe if a person truly finds that particular article interesting and informative, it will be passed to others. I believe in the action of "Pay It Forward". If these article help you, I believe most people will pass it on to help others.
