What inspired you to launch your own website?

To make a little ( very little ) extra cash to help pay for school

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Chuck = C Chris = C hence C and C Gems

Please give us a short summary of your website?

C and C Gems is Your best source for quality Gemstones, Display Minerals, and Custom made Jewelry

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

All Minerals are unique, we try to sell items you don't see elsewhere.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep as extra income.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It hasn't had a chance to yet.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Not sure, I would most likely have someone build and maintain my website for me. I have built this one from scratch.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Not sure, I think with the help of my family we could.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Mostly the time it takes to build the site.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Time....

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Just beginning, I have begun to list manually on search engines.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

A couple of months and I plan to keep it long term.
