At Puzzled you will find creatively designed, reasonably priced handcrafted wooden puzzles & toys including jigsaw puzzles, name puzzles, 3D puzzles, educational puzzles, wooden toys, and more.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I wanted a new source to market my handcrafted wooden puzzles and toys.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
my first website was http://www.puzzled1.com . It is a web store called Puzzled handcrafted wooden puzzles and toys
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I had been using the name Puzzled when selling at arts and crafts shows so naturally it became the name of my website and the rest of the title describes what I sell
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I specialize in made to order puzzle and toy designs. I offer many products with a variety of choices to choose from so that the puzzle/toy you order is custom made for you.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is to eventually turn my company into a thriving business.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far my timed and money outweighs my success but I'm hoping that will change soon!
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would be able to market better.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
YES!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Craft fairs that fizzled out, marketing costs to sumit to search engines, and the cost of running my own domain name
What has been your biggest challenge?
Creating my web site has been very challenging.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Creating link partners with other web sites has been my biggest promotional tool.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I was really surprised at how much time it takes to submit my site to different direcctories and search engines.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Puzzled - Handcrafted Wooden Puzzles and Toys has been running for about a year now but, the domain name www.puzzled1.com has only been up and running for two weeks. If successful I hope to keep the site up and running for years to come.
