LeatherPaKs.com is an online discount retail store specialiizing in quality leather bags. We offer a wide varity of leather bags from small to mid size manufacturers such as Cape Cod Leather and Floto Imports. Our commitment is to offer our customer quality products at low prices, in other words we want to give our customers real value for thier dollar. We also hold ourseves to a high standard of customer service.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I began this website because I am disabled and I needed to keep busy also I would like to eventually make enough so I don't need my government disability check any more
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my first site and it was launched in Dec. of 2006
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I nneded a name that would reflect the products I was going to sell
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I'm trying to offer something different in that I'm focusing on lesser known brand name products. Also I am really commited to satisfying my customer. I'll do what ever it takes to make them happy
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To make a liveable income from my site
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far it is more time and money than success but I remain positive and determined
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would hire a top notch web designer and seo team
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Oh yes!! I have plenty of support in the form of family and friends that would be glad to help, in fact some of them could really use jobs and nothing would please me more than having a successful business and being able to help others.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Paid per click advertising and seo expences. The biggest headache is figuring out these searh engine rules
What has been your biggest challenge?
Well being disabled has made it difficult for me to get everything together,it seems to take me a long time to get things done. Like my wesite design ,inventory listing etc.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I guess ppc but so far it all seems like an uphill battle. I just started blogging and aggresively searching for quality link exchanges to inprove my search engine ranking
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I thought it would be easier. I didn't relize the amount of time and energy it would take. Thank God I have plenty of both
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It has been almost one year and I will keep it up for however long it takes to be successful
Do you enjoy running your own website?
Yes I find it rewarding and it is neat to have yoursef out there where peolple all over the world can see what your doing.
