A Real Look at Shopping Addiction; Oniomania

Wikipedia offers a bit about Shopping Addiction (Oniomania)

They write that "The purchase generates a mood of satisfaction for the addicted, seems to give their life a meaning and lets them forget about their sorrows" and of course "usually back at home the feeling of a personal reward has already gone."

The vicious cycle has begun. However, I believe it is a problem in our culture that occurs long before anyone might start attaching psycho babble labels like "oniomania" to it.

Why do you go shopping?
